“Broadway Joe” Namath tweeted his first message on Twitter on February 25th.  In fact, Joe has only tweeted a total of  5 tweets.  I first heard of the news on this past thursday and people were asking me if I thought the account was real.  To be honest, fake accounts are unfortunately common.  Check out this enormous list of pro-athletes.
RealJoeNamath:Â JETS! JETS! JETS! YES! WE DID IT! NOW WE’RE GOING TO DO IT AGAIN! COACH RYAN MADE US ALL BELIEVERS. Joe
This past season, it appeared that Thomas Jones was on Twitter and had a ton of fans fooled. Â I usually wait for confirmation from a valid source before I will concur that it’s a real celebrity. Â Tonight after some research, I had found that the NFL directories I follow added Namath yesterday.
I also saw that a tweet from an NFL PR official promote the account:
NFLAprguy: Big twitter welcome to @RealJoeNamath.Follow him as he shares thoughts on #Jets, #Bama, life & how to guarantee a win.
So for those of you already following him, kudos, but if you are reading this for the first time, go follow @realjoenamath today!
